Give me some time
I promise that I’ll give you my mind
You’re still reeling from the battles you lost
From my battles I’ve been counting the cost
And I can see your fires burning
As the tears they warm your skin
And every corner that you’re turning
Another step you take from him
And oh maybe this is nothing
And I’m a coward underneath the stairs
But my god it must be something or why would either of us still be here
These battles are all I have
And they’ve nothing to do with you
I understand that the light that you gave
It wasn’t easy just to give it away
So you collapse at the top of the stairs
I look up wondering how you got up there
And each crime another photograph
And each line another sin
And I’ve tried and tried to keep up with you
But the war in you won’t let me in
And now maybe you’re just broken
And maybe I’m the same
And maybe our lost battles
Mean we’re never gonna win again
These battles are all I have
And they’ve nothing to do with you
Incredible album. I'm so happy how "Little Green Cars" evolved into Soda Blonde, and extremely pleased that Faye O'Rourke is at the forefront of vocals with her fantastic, captivating voice. Such a moving album, and the underlying themes really presenting a sort of isolation and general feeling of being upset in a relationship, in my interpretation. It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
angel apricot makes sweet and intimate '90s-style bedroom pop with delicate melodies and melancholic, reflective lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 29, 2022
This Nashville group draws on the classic sound of ’80s goth and gloom pop to create swirling songs with stately keys and haunting melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 27, 2021
Obscura Somnia for a long time has been a song of serene hope for me. For me it is one of their best. It's about time they re-record it in a longer version. en_music
