Alone, I’m all that matters
The flooded roads, the potholes out of view
But I can see you
You’ve got a hole in your heart where the light is coming through
You’re down and I’m in tatters
Nobody wins, the fruits of sins and love
We’ve both seen enough
I’ve got a hole in my heart but the nights will fill it up
Be thankful for the life I gave to you
Pretending to pretend I needed you
Crossing all the T’s and dotting I’s on my lies
Smothering the fire
Thrown upon the rocks we never fell apart
Trying to find a flame that’s lost beneath the scars
But I only think of you when I’ve nothing else to do
But balancing the flame
It’s happening again
The constant of an end
We can’t even pretend
The strength in every word
A pulse I’ve only heard
Alone
Incredible album. I'm so happy how "Little Green Cars" evolved into Soda Blonde, and extremely pleased that Faye O'Rourke is at the forefront of vocals with her fantastic, captivating voice. Such a moving album, and the underlying themes really presenting a sort of isolation and general feeling of being upset in a relationship, in my interpretation. It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles

This Nashville group draws on the classic sound of ’80s goth and gloom pop to create swirling songs with stately keys and haunting melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 27, 2021
Obscura Somnia for a long time has been a song of serene hope for me. For me it is one of their best. It's about time they re-record it in a longer version. en_music
