It shouldn’t end this way
Since they gave us a head start
But the only thing we started
Caused our heads to fall apart
Now we’re running back together
Back from swinging through those trees
And I promise I’ll do better
If this year’s better for me
And you’re rolling with the punches
And I’m swinging at thin air
And if you get what you deserve
I’m at the depths of what is fair
I can take the pain x 4
She said
You’ve been running for water since the fire went out
You’ve been running for the door since you figured it out
She said take a step away now
Find a safe distance to watch
You can observe this self destruction
From our single bedded box
And you’re rolling with the punches
And I’m swinging at thin air
And the weight comes down and it reminds us both
You were always there, I was only a ghost
There’s cracks in the system of all of our scenes
And over and over and over she screams
I can take the pain x 4
She said
You’ve been running for water since the fire went out
You’ve been running for the door since you figured it out
You’ve been running into battle with your colours laid bare
You’ve been running into battle with your arms in the air
You’ve been singing about hope to whoever listens the most
You’ve been cursing my soul
I can take the pain and I’m always on your side.

Incredible album. I'm so happy how "Little Green Cars" evolved into Soda Blonde, and extremely pleased that Faye O'Rourke is at the forefront of vocals with her fantastic, captivating voice. Such a moving album, and the underlying themes really presenting a sort of isolation and general feeling of being upset in a relationship, in my interpretation. It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
angel apricot makes sweet and intimate '90s-style bedroom pop with delicate melodies and melancholic, reflective lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 29, 2022
This Nashville group draws on the classic sound of ’80s goth and gloom pop to create swirling songs with stately keys and haunting melodies. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 27, 2021

Obscura Somnia for a long time has been a song of serene hope for me. For me it is one of their best. It's about time they re-record it in a longer version. en_music
